Shri Gajendra Moksham Strota Story & Interpretation in English

Gajendra Moksha strota is mentioned in the 8th Skandha of the Bhagavata Puraṇa. This story was narrated by Rishi Shuka to King Parikshit at his request. Bhagwan Vishnu always ensures welfare of his devotees. In this story Lord Vishnu came down to protect Gajendra, an elephant, from the clutches of a Crocodile. He killed crocodile, freed Gajendra and provided him moksha (liberation from cycle of birth and death).

This is a powerful panegyric which renders best results when chanted in Brahm Muhurta before sunrise. By regularly reciting Gajendra Moksha Stotra, the path of liberation opens up and all the troubles and obstacles are removed. This hymn is very effective in getting relief from debt.It is said that one gets freedom from the biggest debt as well by this strota.
